Bay of Islands Search and Rescue (BOISAR) is having a REUNION and EVERYONE is invited!

Have you or anyone you know ever been helped by Bay of Islands Search and Rescue? If so, BOISAR wants to reconnect with you at our BOISAR REUNION on June 11th from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. at Margaret Bowater Park (uppermost parking lot area)! Cake cutting and group photo at 12:00 p.m.

BOISAR has responded to hundreds of search and rescue calls over the last 40+ years and has connected with thousands of people throughout the Bay of Islands and beyond.

While our interaction with search subjects and their families is always significant and impactful, it is often very brief, and we’d love to reconnect with you all!

ALL MEMBERS OF THE PUBLIC are welcome and encouraged to attend the reunion and enjoy a FREE MOOSE BURGER AND DRINK (while supplies last). Search subjects and their close family members or friends are asked to wear orange (so we can more easily identify you) and past search subjects will receive a special memento from BOISAR.

BOISAR PAINTED ROCK CONTEST!!! BOISAR has hidden a series of painted rocks along community trails in Corner Brook and the Bay of Islands. If you find one of BOISAR’s rocks, keep it, report it on our Facebook Page (@BOISARNL), and collect a prize at the Reunion on June 11th!

During the reunion we will have a wholesale display of BOISAR equipment and there will also be a message board for anyone who would like to share their story, a photo, or a message for BOISAR. At the reunion, we will also welcome police officers, fire fighters, ambulance personnel, and 911 call centre operators (FREE moose burgers for those folks too!)

This event is open to anyone who wants to attend and should be of interest to all age groups. There will be live music by Brad Turner, food, cake, and our Boating Safety Mascot Pukta will also be making his rounds!
